Research Emphasis: Systematics of parasitic Hymenoptera, particularly Encyrtidae, Aphelinidae, and Signiphoridae; biological control of Hemiptera using parasitoids.

Research Activities: Research on systematics of Chalcidoidea emphasizes descriptive taxonomy and revisionary study; analysis of phylogenetic relationships and classification of genera, tribes and subfamilies; comparative morphology and biosystematics of selected complexes of species of particular importance to biological control. I am also interested in the characterization of biological diversity, particularly Hymenoptera, and development of systematics collections.
