Systematics of Eucharitidae of Argentina

Javier is a student with Patricio Fidalgo at the CONICET station in Anillaco Argentina. His thesis work is a revision of the Eucharitidae of Argentina with a focus on the taxonomy and biology of the group. To this end, Javier is digging his way across Argentina in search of new host associations and a better appreciation of the behaviour of the immature stages in the group. Javier has just completed a 2.5 month visit in the Heraty lab to image all of the material from Argentina. He is also working with Heraty on a molecular characterization of species to associate morphological and geographic variants in the group.
